Former Blog Title

"The Perks Of Being A Wallflower"

Remember this? No? Then click here. This is one of my most favorite books EVER. It was introduced to me by a good friend of mine, Uriel. And earlier this month, the trailer for the movie adaptation of the book was released. IF ever you haven't seen it, here it goes.

Be sure to read the book!!!! It's really, really good! And I hope this will not be another Hollywood failure because Stephen, the author, is also the director. :-)

My Almost-two-months Of Absence

As you all know, my blog has been on vacation just like all of us students. To be really honest, I just didn't open my laptop that much last summer. I could probably count with my hands the number of times I used it. No kidding..

And I present to you, the things I did the last two months...

Bonding with family and fam friends
Went to a loooot of places! And I practically stayed at the house most of my summer. So... does that count as a 'family bonding'? :))

Books
I need a separate post for this or else I might end up doing a veryyyyy lengthy post. :p

NBA
And, yes, my teams did not make it to second round. But it's okay. NBA's supposed to be like that. It can't be your year every year. I just wish nobody got hurt this season. Still not over Rose's torn ACL. :( ANDDDDD... Congrats to Miami Heat! I'm a LeBron fan but never been a Heat fan. I just cheered for them this year because I hate OKC. So muuuuch. HAHA. Bitter.

Music
I did a number of covers this past month. At oo, feelingera ang lola mo. Bakit ba? HAHA! The latest ones are produced (OHA) by my friend, Carlo at CarloIsipProductions. It's reaaaally funnnn! If you have time, listen to some of my recordings. :-)

Birthdays
Friends who turned 18!!!

THAT'S IT BEYBES. Til next time. :-*

For Real

FOR REAL... I'm back. Totoo na to. HAHA! Tinamad ako pero totoo na to. Magba-blog na ko every week kahit na ang busy ng school! *pinky promise*

I'll update you sooooooon... Later siguro? After ng guitar session sa kwarto ko. Feeling e. :p

I'M BACCCCCKKK FOR GOOD. :D

Guess Who's Back?

ME! HAHA! At dahil feeling TV show ako, I'm back from my hiatus for the nth time. I was really planning on continuing the challenge BUT when I saw Day 7 challenge, I decided to stall. Silly me. :)) Oh well, I'll continue tomorrow.

Where have I been, you ask? HOME. Okay maybe not so much. 50% of my summer, I'm at my bed reading/sleeping/eating/watching/stalking/playing guitar. The other 50%, I'm being dragged by my mom (HI, MOTHER! :D) to some place else. We went out to swim a few times but I passed out (I know) on a chair.. I was sooooo exhausted from watching (also screaming and crying because Derrick Rose tore his ACL. BV for me..) the first day of NBA Playoffs the night before. The other time, I wouldn't want to swim because I was too busy fangirling over Zayn Malik. We also went to Bataan for the Easter Sunday. Surprised Jeck for 18th birthday. Went to Karen's birthday. That pretty much was it.

Okaaaay.... Nakalimutan ko na ano pang ginawa ko sa buhay. Hahaha! I'll update you guys soon. It's good to be back. :-)

Perfect Chemistry

'Bad' boy + 'good' girl = Perfect Chemistry
A passionate and provocative love story about looking beneath the surface.
(Yeeeah. I got that from the website. Check here.)

So I finished another book today, and I think that I can finish my books-to-read list before summer ends. Yey me! So what I've read today is Perfect Chemistry written by Simone Elkeles. And here's what the story all about:
When Brittany Ellis walks into chemistry class on the first day of senior year, she has no clue that her carefully created “perfect” life is about to unravel before her eyes. She’s forced to be lab partners with Alex Fuentes, a gang member from the other side of town, and he is about to threaten everything she's worked so hard for—her flawless reputation, her relationship with her boyfriend, and the secret that her home life is anything but perfect. Alex is a bad boy and he knows it. So when he makes a bet with his friends to lure Brittany into his life, he thinks nothing of it. But soon Alex realizes Brittany is a real person with real problems, and suddenly the bet he made in arrogance turns into something much more.  In a passionate story about looking beneath the surface, Simone Elkeles breaks through the stereotypes and barriers that threaten to keep Brittany and Alex apart.
Yes, I am an 18-yr-old-girl-who-loves-to-relive-her-first-love-experience-through-YA-books. Though this book didn't exactly explain mine. But it's the.... God it frustrates me that I can't explain it to you. The book the really hit me on-the-spot with the first love experience is "Love The One You're With" by Emily Giffin. Seriously guys, read it and I think you'll understand why I acted like 'that' half of my high school life.

Anywaaaaaaaaay........

It's the modern star-crossed lovers thing! Haha! I swear the last three books I've read has something to do about THAT kind of love -- from the Mockingjay, The Fault in Our Stars and, this, Perfect Chemistry. This book is really fun to read! Anticipation eats you up, mostly. It's predictable and unpredictable at the same time. Huh. I can't seem to explain this properly. Hahaha! It's like Pretty In Pink meets West Side Story! Yes, that's it! Thankfully, Simone wrote a sequel to this and I'm going to read tonight. Yes, I love books.

And if you ever wonder, yes, I fell for another fictional character -- again. Alex Fuentes. Oh bad habit, leave me alone.

--
"It reminds me of myself -- seemingly perfect on the outside, but inside is all mush."

"You know you can do more, but everyone expects you to quit."

"But this guy, smack dab in the middle of everything I'm against, is connected to me like nobody else."

"I want to know how to make this girl laugh. I want to know what makes her cry. I want to know what it feels to have her look at me as if I'm her knight in shining armor."

Day 6: Favorite Super Hero And Why

See, I'm not fond of sci-fi movies. Hell I don't even know if I'm watching one! Haha! But when I saw this challenge, only one super hero came into my mind, Thor.

I loved the movie and I actually really like the actor who portrayed the role of Thor. See, saying that I love hot men is an understatement. And really, Chris Hemsworth is one of the hottest humans alive. If you don't believe me, go Google it. I love his brother, Liam (Gale of Hunger Games), too.

Okay I can't help it. (I have a thing for guys with scruffy beard. I think it's hotter that way.) Now, if you don't think this gorgeous man is not handsome, well then, you need to get your eyes checked, honey. I believe there's something wrong with it. Haha! Now that I think about it, he seriously passes as an older version of his brother. They look identical. Ha. Must be the genes. Oh wait, of course it is the genes....

Let's go back to the super hero. Hmmm.. He's my favorite super hero because 1. he's hot, no doubt, 2. I have a thing for mythologies (Greek, Roman and Germanic), 3. he's a god, 4. I like the plot. The whole I-will-throw-you-to-earth-to-teach-you-a-lesson-and-be-humbled-because-you're-an-arrogant-warrior, 5. I love that super heroes fall for humans, predictable, I know, still, 6. he's the god of thunder.

And.... because he's hot. Ha-ha! Yes, I just did.

Okaaaay, I declare this a reading day, so.... Good bye! :-)
